CTELCA, Semen Technology, Genetic Improvement and Embryo Transfer
Center Las Camelias, was created in 1995 as a scientific and commercial
complex. Since then it has become leader and promoter of the genetic
improvement of cattle business in Colombia.
Throughout its years of experience and thanks to the use of cutting
edge biotechonology, CTELCA has improved the number of elite quality
animals to levels that are unattainable through natural reproductive
means.
CTELCA was founded by technical entrepreneurs and farmers who share a
broad perspective and are open to new world trends. Together they saw
the need to create a company that, through the use of biotechnologies,
could multiply pure nucleus herds (native and imported), which were
genetically adapted to the tropic, tested and positive in transmitting
their good qualities.
